The Nonprofit Center of North Central Florida’s Board of Directors represents the nonprofit, private, and public sectors of our community. Each member is deeply committed to NCNCF’s mission and demonstrates expertise and passion for assisting nonprofit organizations fulfill their missions.


Kari Brill, Executive Director

Square-Cropped-Kari-Brill-Head-ShotKari Brill is a co-founder and now Executive Director for the Nonprofit Center of North Central Florida. She oversees all aspects of the organization and works closely with NCNCF’s board of directors and interns to cultivate support, growth, and community awareness for nonprofit organizations in North Central Florida.Before co-founding the Nonprofit Center, she served as the Marketing Director for the Orthopaedic Institute for seven years. In 2010, Ms. Brill, Christopher Johnson, and Leadership Gainesville Class 36 founded NCNCF. The impetus behind the creation of a nonprofit management support organization came from the Leadership Gainesville 36 class, an annual program conducted by the Gainesville Area Chamber of Commerce. The LG 36 class collectively envisioned an opportunity to strengthen and support the region’s nonprofit sector through a consortium of nonprofit management resources. Ultimately, Ms. Brill and Mr. Johnson resigned their full time jobs and joined forces to establish NCNCF as a registered 501c3 nonprofit organization.

As a 4th generation Gainesville resident, Ms. Brill and her family hold deep roots in this community. She feels passionate about giving back to this community that she is now raising her two children in. Ms. Brill was a founding board member for Girls on the  of Alachua County and donated her time as a volunteer and as a mentor for University of Florida’s Young Entrepreneurs for Leadership and Sustainability and the Women Student Association. In 2011, Kari was awarded Forty Under 40 from Home Magazine and she was also nominated for the Gainesville Sun’s Spirit of Gainesville in Entrepreneurship of the same year.

Ms. Brill received a B.A. in Advertising from Southern Methodist University and MBA in Marketing and International Business from Northeastern University
