Angelica Suarez, Executive Director of Children Beyond Our Borders speaks to a colleague at the NCNCF Inaugural Nonprofit Summit
The Nonprofit Center of North Central Florida strives to connect like-minded nonprofit organizations to enhance the overall impact on the communities they serve.
Collaboration is the basis for bringing together the knowledge, experience, skills, and resources of individual nonprofit organizations. It involves the willingness of all nonprofits to openly communicate and work together for the benefit of all involved.
“A number of studies have demonstrated that collaboration has a beneficial impact on organizations, resulting in less duplication and overlap of services in addition to more efficient and effective services and better outcomes (Nonprofit Sector Research Fund of the Aspen Institute). Funders like to see collaboration among their grantees because it increases the likelihood that their dollars will be spent on higher impact efforts.” –Anne Douglas Director of Programs, Southwest Florida Community Foundation
